Wow, it seems like just a few weeks ago that we were in Las Vegas for Autodesk University 2016. It was another great week, so full of classes, networking and other activities that I didn’t even have time to write about it last year. And if you can believe it, this years call for papers is just around the corner.
No date has been announced yet, but if you have ever thought about speaking or presenting at Autodesk University, now is the time to start thinking about your class ideas. Get your thoughts on paper, write a short speaker bio, course descriptions (usually a good paragraph that briefly describes the course intent), 4 or 5 key learning objectives for the class and most importantly a good catchy name that people will remember.
For more information, visit the AU Speaker Resource Center. First, sign up to be notified when the submission period begins. Then, go to the left and have a look at the FAQ section, which will tell you everything you wanted to know about being a speaker, but were afraid to ask. If you have more questions, there is a contact link. This is the real thing, real people answer you and are more than happy to help you out. I’ll be submitting several class proposals again this year, and with luck this will be the 4th year in a row that I have been a speaker. Goodness knows I don’t have enough of those spiffy AU Speaker shirts yet!
So dust off those class ideas, polish up your speaking skills, and get ready to submit some killer proposals… it won’t be long now!
Good luck!
