Coming Soon – Content Center Basics Series

First let me wish all of my readers and friends in the USA a happy 4th of July.  I hope you all get at least some time to enjoy the weekend, maybe a barbecue with family or good friends, some fireworks, and maybe even a malt beverage or two (drink responsibly!!)

It’s been a while since I’ve had the time to do any writing, but I’ve been thinking about topics.  My plan now is to begin as soon as next week to put together a series on working with the Autodesk® Inventor Content Center.  I don’t exactly have the outline done yet, but I’m going to cover such things as Installing the Content Center, configuring and adding libraries for both Vault and Desktop Content, and then a bunch of tips and tricks for adding and editing your own custom content.

5 years ago at my first Autodesk University, in 2010, I took a class from the late great Dennis Jeffrey on how to get the most from the Content Center.  It was a great class, and if I can find it from that far back, I’ll post a link in the opening of the series.  Content Center can end up being quite a powerful toolbox if you know how to set it up and make it your own.

So, stay tuned over the next few weeks.  I’m going to attempt to add some more videos (with sound!) to these next posts.  I hope you enjoy them!

  1. Looking forward to them. We have enlisted the customization of many parts in CC and am interested in seeing and hearing your approach to what I am finding out is a little used tool among mostly smaller companies.

    Have a great weekend!
